Ellen is currently an archaeology and geology student at Western Washinton University, with plans to do her postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. She has experience researching the zooarchaeology of prehistoric coastal sites in the Pacific Northwest of North America and is participating in the Unalaska Sea Ice Project, a nationally funded research project studying climate change and subsistence in prehistoric Alaska. Currently, she is working on her own project testing an application of machine learning in the automatic identification of ceramic trademarks.
