Short bio: Francesco Banterle is a researcher at the Visual Computing Laboratory at CNR-ISTI in Italy. He received a Ph.D. in Engineering from Warwick University in 2009. During his Ph.D. he developed Inverse Tone Mapping that bridges the gap between standard imaging and high dynamic range (HDR) Imaging. He was editor in chief of Journal of Graphics Tools, and he co-wrote two books on imaging; Advanced High Dynamic Range Imaging and Image Content Retargeting, both were published by CRC Press.
